HobsXUWE Office Cubical Wall

2026

A Hobs Visual Culture and University of the West of England creative collaboration; this project entailed producing a design for the office cubical wall within the new home for Hobs VC.

This project was a design for the board panelled office space that celebrates Bristol and printing; from landmarks and cultures of the city to the histories and futures of print. The idea behind it was to lean into the window that would be part of this office space, making it central rather than additional to the design. This window was positioned to act as the screen of a printer control panel, the rest of the design (the printer) surrounding it - making it look like a POV of looking at the control panel. Based on an existing printer, photos were manipulated within Adobe Photoshop to fit the proportions. The contextual part of the brief coming through the stickers attached to the lower part of the printer, acting as snapshots of different parts of Bristol and print; culture, histories, landmarks and futures. Outcome was 1x office cubical wall design, printed at 2.3 m x 3.8 m. Insight gained into photography and Adobe Photoshop, perspective grids and large format printing.
