A UWE (University of the West of England) project; conduct
an interview with a worker of a certain profession (from a list provided),
finding out everything about their work and the impacts of the job, then
produce a 16pg A5 publication.
My grandfather who worked as a taxi driver for
20 years was the focus of this project; looking into his time as a taxi driver
when it was a dangerous profession, especially the random killings within
Northern Ireland. The style was influenced by several publications that formed
several mood boards: focusing on taxis, the Troubles and autobiographical
publications. Aimed at my grandfather and readers of my / a younger generation
who aren’t as familiar with the Troubles as older generations. The Outcome was
1 16pg, A5 publication – this project helped me think about sensitivity in projects
as well as interactivity.
